CONDUCTION

La Conduction è una pratica improvvisativa nella quale il Direttore guida l’ ensemble utilizzando un vocabolario di segni e gesti (istruzioni) per modificare o costruire in tempo reale arrangiamenti o composizioni musicali. Quindi la Conduction è un’esperienza estemporanea, non pianificata e il Direttore con l’orchestra è un po’ come un qualsiasi improvvisatore con il suo strumento. Se evitiamo alcuni parametri che richiedono un'alfabetizzazione musicale (in particolare l’armonia), ci ritroviamo a gestire elementi espressivi e formali intuitivi che costituiscono l'essenza piena della Musica in quanto espressione. Ecco perché possiamo praticare la Conduction con musicisti di qualsiasi età e livello, ma perfino con non musicisti.

CONDUCTION

Conduction is a improvisational practice in which the conductor guides the ensemble using a vocabulary of signs and gestures (instructions) to modify or construct arrangements or musical compositions in real time. So Conduction is an impromptu, unplanned experience and the Conductor with the orchestra is a bit like any improviser with his instrument. If we avoid some parameters that require musical literacy (in particular harmony), we find ourselves managing intuitive expressive and formal elements that constitute the full essence of Music as an expression. This is why we can practice Conduction with musicians of any age and level, but even with non-musicians.

COS'È ? | PER CHI È ?

"Score for Free Music" è un passo successivo alla Conduction, la quale costituisce solo il primo punto di questo workshop. Gli elementi formali ed espressivi a cui i "segni" (comandi) della Conduction si riferiscono sono gli stessi usati nella composizione (quella scritta, meditata). Esempi di tali elementi sono: dinamica, densità, altezza. Il corso "Score for Free Music" dunque si propone di individuarli, isolarli e con essi tracciare un percorso coerente da seguire durante la Condution. Un macro progetto per un brano musicale, anche stratificato, una vera partitura all’interno della quale, però, ampi spazi di libertà di movimento sono dati ai singoli musicisti e al Direttore. Il corso è rivolto a musicisti di qualsiasi estrazione ed è aperto a tutti gli strumenti. È richiesta una preparazione strumentale di medio livello.

WHAT'S THIS ? | WHO IS IT FOR?

"Score for Free Music" is a step after Conduction, which is only the first point of this workshop. The formal and expressive elements to which the "signs" (commands) of the Conduction refer are the same used in the composition (the written, meditated one). Examples of such elements are: dynamics, density, pitch. The "Score for Free Music" course therefore aims to identify them, isolate them and with them draw a coherent path to follow during the Condution. A macro project for a musical piece, even layered, a real score within which, however, large spaces of freedom of movement are given to individual musicians and to the Conductor. The course is aimed at musicians of all backgrounds and is open to all instruments. Medium level instrumental preparation is required.

La Score for Free Music ovviamente può essere pensata anche per un singolo musicista o un gruppo senza Direttore (*). Inoltre può essere inserita in un brano strutturato anche con un tema (**)

The Score for Free Music can obviously also be designed for a single musician or a group without a Conductor (*). Furthermore, it can also be inserted in a structured song with a theme (**)
